No fees are chargeable in respect of periods of authorised interruption of studies of over 3 months. Students returning to study in the next academic session should be aware that tuition fees increase every year and therefore students may be charged a higher fee on their return to study.

Students will be charged according to the number of credits taken pro rata to the applicable full-time fee.

All students repeating a full year of study will be charged the applicable full-time fee. Undergraduate students repeating courses on a part-time basis will be charged according to the number of credits taken pro rata to the applicable full-time fee. Students taking courses totaling in excess of 80 credits will be charged the applicable full-time fee.

Students pay a total of four part-time annual fees, irrespective of the period of prescribed study under supervision. Students who submit their thesis early are required to pay the remaining years’ fees on submission. Any student continuing study beyond the period for which annual fees are payable is required to pay one matriculation fee in the following academic year and then a continuation fee for every authorised extension until they submit their thesis. Continuation fees are charged pro rata for the full period of an approved extension.

Candidates submitting for a PhD by Publication will be required to pay an examination fee on submission.

Full-time candidates for the degree of MBA have a prescribed period of 2 years and have to pay a total of two full-time fees. Candidates have up to two years to write up their thesis thereafter during which an annual matriculation fee is due.

Part-time candidates for the degree of MBA are charged pro-rata to the full-time fee for their prescribed period of study. Candidates have up to two years to write up their thesis thereafter during which an annual matriculation fee is due.

The fees for the MA comprise an initial registration fee plus a fee per annum – this annual fee is also payable upon registration. In addition an examination fee will be payable upon submission.



Full-time candidates for the BBC, MSc and MBA pay one full-time annual fee. Full-time students who are admitted to these masters programs but exit with an award of Diploma are liable for the appropriate full-time annual fee.

Full-time candidates for the MSW pay two full-time annual fees. Full-time students who are admitted to this award but exit with an award of Diploma are liable for the appropriate full-time annual fees.

All students will be charged annual fees in accordance with their prescribed period of study. Any student continuing study beyond the period for which annual fees are payable is required to pay an annual matriculation fee. A re-examination/re-submission fee is applied to this program.

Part-time candidates for the degree in communication pay a total of five part-time annual fees. This is irrespective of the prescribed period of study. Any student continuing study beyond the period for which annual fees are payable is required to pay an annual matriculation fee.

Part-time students who are admitted to a masters program for a period of 2 or 3 years will be charged either 50% or 33% (as appropriate) of the full-time fee applicable to their program of study in each academic session. Part-time students who are admitted to a single course, Certificate or Diploma will be charged proportionally to the appropriate MSc fee, calculated on the basis of the number of credits undertaken.

Any student continuing study beyond the period for which annual fees are payable is required to pay one matriculation fee in the following academic year and then a continuation fee for every authorised extension until they submit their thesis. Any Masters by Research student continuing study beyond the period for which annual fees are payable is required to pay one matriculation fee in the following academic year.

All students will be charged 50% of the full-time fee applicable to their program of study in each academic session.
